The owner of a North Side massage parlor was arrested on prostitution charges after she offered to perform sex acts on an undercover Cook County sheriff's officer, officials said today.

Christy Chin, 37, of Northbrook, who is believed to be the owner of Therapy Spa, 3334 W. Peterson Ave., was charged with prostitution, keeping a place of prostitution and performing a massage without a license, Cook County Sheriff's officials said in a press release.

Chin was arrested Saturday after she offered to perform a sex act on the undercover officer. The arrest occurred on the officer's second visit to the parlor. On the first visit Chin did not offer sex to the undercover officer but did so on the second visit after the officer became a returning client, officials said.

Sheriff's investigators are working with city officials to determine whether Chin's business was properly licensed, officials said.

She has an April 30 court date in the Skokie courthouse, officials said.
